Some interesting things to note: Gemini searched YouTube, ChatGPT used Bing. Gemini, like ChatGPT, occasionally forgot what it could do and told me it couldn’t make images. Once convinced that it could do so, Gemini produced much better images but still didn’t have precise control - its description does not exactly match the shoe image it made.
The Apple Test. Like all word games, this is a challenge for AI, in part because they don’t see words the way they do, they work in tokens, which contain one or more parts of words. Still, GPT-4 does well, Gemini does not.
